KAi reads, analyses and extracts information from your documents. This can be used to draft, analyse, summarise, and complete many other tasks.
You get to choose; the platform allows you to build your own small language model for use in many daily tasks. However, you can also allow guardrailed access to LLMs to perform tasks that do not compromise your firm or client data.
Private Small Language Model (SLM)
Each firm will have a custom built, private, small language model (with access to X’s of templates or) upload your firms own templates to teach KAi as you would a new paralegal or legal assistant at your firm. These documents are private and only accessible to your firm and not shared openly with large language models (LLM).
Large Language Model (LLM)
Access to LLMs is possible for tasks e.g., research, however, this is supported by structured guardrails to ensure confidential information is not shared with open models. KAi has the ability to identify confidential information and redact this in line with compliance and data protection. Research sources are always referenced for the user to check, guarding against hallucinations.
These applications are not here to replace lawyers but to support the workflow and processes as a digital legal assistant. KAi can perform many tasks automatically but any task that requires the lawyer’s legal input is passed to the lawyer as a paralegal would.
